Johannesburg is gearing up for a major celebration of House Music as Soulfreakah and Zulumafia present House Alive Explosion, taking place on 26 September 2026 at Mea Culpa, 35 11th Road, Kew, Sandton.
Built around a powerful line-up of DJs and producers, House Alive Explosion promises to bring together different generations and styles of House Music under one roof. From deep and soulful grooves to energetic dancefloor rhythms, the event is positioned as a celebration of the genre, the culture and the people who continue to keep the House Music movement alive.
Leading the charge are Soulfreakah and Zulumafia, with an impressive supporting cast that includes: SculpturedMusic, Nastic Groove, FKAMASH, Souldiva, Lochive, Nutty Nys, Buhle Mbongwa, Zethu, Sir LSG, Bosanza, Sooks, TiMADEEP, Ozzy and Luka Music.
The diversity of the line-up is one of the event’s biggest attractions. Each artist brings a distinct musical identity, creating the potential for a dynamic journey across the House Music spectrum.
For Johannesburg’s House Music faithful, events such as House Alive Explosion remain important spaces where the culture can breathe — where established names can share the stage with emerging talent and where music lovers can experience the communal energy that has always defined the genre.
Hosted at Mea Culpa in Kew, the event promises an intimate but energetic environment for music lovers looking to spend their Saturday immersed in quality House Music. With Soulfreakah and Zulumafia behind the concept, expectations will naturally be high.
Whether you’re there for the deep grooves, soulful melodies, infectious rhythms or simply the atmosphere that comes from being surrounded by people who share the same passion, this is one Johannesburg House Music gathering worth marking on the calendar.
