There are moments in Soulful House when the combination of producer, vocalist and remixer feels almost inevitable. Pat Bedeau & Imaani’s “Fool For You,” remixed by Sean McCabe, is one of those moments.

Originally produced by Bedfunk founder Pat Bedeau, “Fool For You” already possessed the ingredients that make soulful music endure: musicianship, emotion and, most importantly, a vocal capable of carrying the song beyond the dance floor.

Pat Bedeau and Imaani’s “Fool For You” receives an elegant new interpretation from Sean McCabe, who brings his unmistakable warmth and musicianship to an already soulful composition.

McCabe allows Imaani’s beautifully expressive vocal to remain at the heart of the record, surrounding it with rich keys, smooth basslines and a polished groove that carries all the hallmarks of quality Soulful House. The Extended Remix is built for sophisticated dance floors, while the Reprise strips things back and allows the songwriting, harmonies and vocal performance to shine even brighter.

It is a remix package defined by restraint rather than excess — three accomplished artists speaking the same musical language!!!!
