On the 25 May 2020, George Floyd was killed during an arrest for allegedly passing counterfeit $20 bill in Minneapolis. A white police officer knelt on Mr Floyd’s neck for for nearly eight minutes. The cruel and unjustified killing of George Floyd at the hands of American police once again highlighted the systematic racism and hate experienced by Black People.

In the wake up of George Floyd’s death, Black People in American begin protests to bring attention to the racism and oppression experienced by Black People. The Black Lives Matter movement and protest spread all over the world and forcing people and institutions to have a conversation about the systematic racism against Black People.
