The world is currently facing a global pandemic with regards to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The fast spreading and contiguous virus is affecting more than 165 countries around the world and there is currently more than 195 000 reported cases.

Social distancing is one of the measures been used to slow down and avoid the spread of COVID-19 hence people around the world are been encouraged to avoid public spaces and unnecessary social gatherings, especially events with large numbers of people or crowds. 

Sports competitions, music events and festivals, and conferences around the world have been postponed so people can monitor and curb the Coronavirus outbreak. Therefore, we applaud the Dance Music Summit for taking a brave decision to postpone the inaugural conference.
