GOGO Music proudly announces the GOGO Music Industry Workshop taking place in Soweto on Saturday the 10th of November at Rockerfella. The workshop is presented in cooperation with the Germany Embassy Pretoria & Power 98.7 and will provide insights into the music business, the possibility to tap into the knowledge of established musicians, managers and industry insiders. It will give and coming musical talent the opportunity to engage with top industry representatives.
The panelists and speaker include various South African industry legends such as DJ Christos, Bob Mabena, Vinny Da Vinci, Kid Fonque, Chymamusique, Sir LSG, Lady Sakhe, Ayanda Jiya, as well as GOGO Music head honcho Ralf GUM and representatives from SAMRO and the German Ambassador to South Africa Martin Schäfer.
The programme of the day includes a multitude of music related topics and discussions, including contracts, copyright and other music related law, artist development, artist management, music production, song-writing, music in the digital age and its distribution, a DJ workshop and more.
GOGO Music is absolutely excited about this initiative which comes at a time where South Africa needs youth empowerment more than ever. Considering arts as an important pillar of economic growth and cultural interest we are absolutely happy that we have been able to bring together all parties involved for this venture. And of course, when music people get together there has to be an afterparty, which is taking place as well Rockerfella from 7pm.
