The world-class House Music band from South Africa, are Heavenly Sent to create and perform music that soothes the soul; brings joy; and makes you dance and delight. The musical collective that is MiCasa earned their recognition and respect on These Streets when they launched their debut album, MiCasa Music in 2010. The debut album allowed us the opportunity to fall in love with the soulful sounds and musical talents of Mo-T, JSomething and Dr Duda.
MiCasa have gone to achieve major milestones as a House Music band. The band has been nominated for several Metro FM Music Awards, South African Music Awards(SAMA) and MTV Africa Music Awards; and they managed to scope SAMAs for Best Dance Album, Group of The Year and Record of The Year. Their sublime signature soulful sounds have allowed them to perform at the 2013 inauguration party for Barack Obama.
The band has opened for many international acts like Drake, Kool n The Gang, The Layabouts, Tortured Soul, Miguel hence we consider them as excellent ambassadors of the House Music genre and culture. The band has also performed at the incredible Cape Town Jazz Festival, Ultra SA and they have also embarked recently on Global Music Tours, performing in the UK, Italy, Kenya, Rwanda, Spain, Canada, Holland, Portugal, USA.
