Bob Mabena is living legend of South African entertainment and radio industry. Bob Mabena has been DJing since his high school days and his passion for music caused him to miss his final Maths exam at school because he was too tired from DJing the night before.

Bob Mabena started his radio career with Radio Bob in the late 80s. He moved to Metro FM in 1992 and presented the Morning and Afternoon Drive time shows. He switched over to Highveld Stereo where he become Music Manger for the radio station. He left Highveld to Kaya FM in 1999 and he is currently hosting the morning breakfast show titled 180 with Bob. He was also the Director Strategy for Commercial Services (Radio & TV) for SABC but left in 2009.

Bob Mabena won Best Hip Hop song in 1994 at South African Music Awards for his classic track Get Funky with soccer legend, Doc Khumalo, and the late SA singer Wendy Mseleku.
